Chapters
In the past 37 years, PHILJAFA has maintained its position as the largest JICA Alumni Association in Asia. It has now a total of 8,894 registered members as of May 2004, all of whom are ex-participants of JICA training programs in Japan.The members are composed of officers, employees and staff from various government and private agencies and institutions in the whole country which constitute the following registered PHILJAFA chapters:

Objectives of the Association and its Chapter Agencies
Guided by its Constitution and By-Laws, the PHILJAFA aims to:
- Further improve developmental programs and projects that would enhance the cooperative endeavor of both the Japanese and Philippine government.
- Embark on collaborative programs and developmental projects with the chapter agencies and its members to contribute to the economic growth of the society.
- Sustain the financial support and assistance to deserving members and chapter agencies in the development of their respective career.
- Strengthen further the relationships and communication among fellow members in the country and in the international community.
- Encourage and urge participation of members and returned ex-participants to actively share their specialization in the implementation of government programs for nation building.
- Facilitate conduct of gainful technical and scientific programs that would augment the association’s funding resources.
