PHILJAFA Celebrates 42^nd Founding Anniversary and Annual Assembly

February 28, 2009 marks another milestone for PHILJAFA as it celebrated its 42nd Founding Anniversary and Annual Assembly at the IRTC Hall, TUP Manila. The occasion was graced by Mr. Kenzo Iwakami Senior Resident Representative as guest speaker, together with Ms. Maryann G. Bakisan, Program Officer, Human Resource Development Program Section, JICA Philippines office. while Dr. Nilo S. Salas TUP Vice President gave his welcome remarks.

Highlight of this year's gathering was the conduct of free lecture focusing on health and wellness. Among the lecturers were Dr. Rimando C. Saguin a medical practitioner and program host of the UnTV channel 21 and one of the successful JICA fellow (PHILJAFA member) - who regularly support the activities of PHILJAFA. Another successful JICA fellow is Dr. Jose Andres Sotto, Clinical Psychologist and consultant at the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) who discussed about stress and distress. The occasion was participated by the board of directors and officers and selected members from active chapter agencies in the nearby metro manila area and students from TUP.
