New Chapters on the Rise: PHILRICE, Philippine Carabao Center, CLSU and UPLB
Posted on 04.11.2008; Published on The PHILJAFAN, Volume 1, Issue No. 1In its effort to expand its membership, PHILJAFA launched the program “Agency Visit and Meeting” which commenced on December 2007 This program is a part of the Chapter’s Reorganization Project which started in 2005 and now on its 2nd phase.
The first leg of the visit/meeting kicked off at the Science City of Munoz, Nueva Ecija, on January 25, 2008 which was participated by officials and staff all of whom are former JICA participants from the Philippine Rice Research Institute (PHILRICE), Philippine Carabao Center (PCC), and the Central Luzon State University (CLSU).

In February 01, 2008, Dr. Roberto P. Cereno, head of the Makiling Center for Mountain Ecosystem at UP Los Banos facilitated the meeting with the group of former participants from the different units and sectors of the university.

These groups will be established as new chapter members and upon completion of their requirements for membership, an induction shall be conducted.
